Life has got busy recently and it’s all rather exciting!
I have found myself in a long term cover teacher role at a primary school teaching Year 2 and I couldn’t be more thrilled! To make it even sweeter, I am in the process of preparing for an interview for a role starting September!!
All that said I am a bundle of nerves.
I don’t know about anyone else but I think I’m really suffering with the idea of having responsibility again. Not because I don’t think I can do it but just because it feels like such a new concept – having been in some form of lockdown or pandemic controlled life for about a year!
Some ways I am trying to combat this overwhelming feeling:
- Creating to do lists and actually ticking/ crossing them off to celebrate the little goals.
- Trying to wake up at a reasonable time – if you live with someone who works or has to wake early then try waking with them – this is what I’m doing!
- Getting out of the house, even if it’s just for 5 minutes and replying to those messages you’ve ignored or said you’ll get to later and never do.
- I am also cheeky and just have a bit of a sulk and rant to Matt when I feel like it’s all just too much! Maybe you have someone you can do this with?
Basically, at your own pace, just dive in. Don’t worry that you’re feeling any which way because I think we all are, busy or not.
Lets hope the weather gets better, if you’re like us then you got a teaser of what’s to come last weekend and then it’s shot back down to FREEEZING (well colder anyway)…
