Tonight, I was driving back from a rehearsal, listening to all my fav songs. I thought why not give you a run down of what I enjoy listening to and, what I love to watch when I’m snuggled up under a blanket with my hot choc!
I’m pretty eclectic but here’s my kind of chilled, girly feels movie list and playlist.
Pic list:
Marie Antoinette – Kirsten Dunst plays an amazing Dauphine alongside the most incredible eighties, youthful soundtrack (see some in my playlist).
Romeo & Juliet – the Baz Luhrmann film so again – another fab soundtrack and just a great teenage drama, beautiful Shakespearean Language.
Strictly Ballroom – Baz Luhrmann again, his first major hit I believe. It’s a great underdog film, top notch music including my favourite song by Cyndi Lauper. It’ll make you want to start ballroom lessons!
Roman Holiday – Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. It’ll make you want a whirlwind romance or a weekend away with your love.
Pretty Woman – This is a film to sit and watch with my Auntie for sure. I love this movie. The shop scene is always perfect. ‘Big mistake. BIG mistake!’
Breakfast at Tiffany’s – A great book, much darker than this film adaptation, so the film makes for a lovely chilled Sunday, rainy day movie. They originally wanted Marilyn but decided she’d be too true a depiction of Holly Golightly for screens.
Beauty & The Beast (either version) – I wanted to put Hercules, it’s my favourite Disney, but B&B is a very close second. You need something light and fluffy, with a great message sometimes. B&B has strong female messages throughout – very apt for these times! And Hercules is about not selling out and supporting those around you.
The playlist I’m feeling tonight – I’m sure I’ve missed some as I keep trying to add more! I made it myself so it is a real muddle but all relatively chilled – I’d say.
